  • Annual Report of the NCVD-ACS Registry 2011-2013

    This is the 4th report of the National Cardiovascular Disease – Acute Coronary Syndrome Registry (NCVD-ACS). The previous reports of 2006, 2007-2008, 2009-2010 have given us valuable insight to the nature and impact of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in Malaysia. Importantly, this report marks the 10th year after the inception of the NCVD-ACS Registry, a registry which is now one of the most important resources of information for ACS in the country, and indeed for the region.

  • Annual Report of the NCVD-PCI Registry 2010-2012

    This is the 3rd report for the NCVD-PCI Registry accounting for the period from 2010-2012. This report gives us an opportunity to compare the baseline characteristics, presentation, lesion complexity, device use and clinical outcome between these two periods 2007-2009 and 2010-2012.

    This report not only provides information on the ACS management in major hospital providing acute cardiac care services throughout Malaysia, but also provides information on the various trends in ACS. All these information are crucial fact rather than the usual guestimate for the practicing cardiac care staff (physicians, cardiologists, nurses), the hospital administrators be it private or public, the policy makers, the patients advocates, the pharmaceutical and insurance industries not just for academic interest but also for the improvement in the quality of care, for better delivery of service and planning.
