BLS Instructor Training Course
WHEN AND WHERE
Date & Time: 4-5 August 2018 (Saturday & Sunday) | 8.30am - 5.30pm

At the end of the programme, the trainee instructor will learn:
- Adult learner education concepts
- How to present BLS didactic materials
- How to demonstrate BLS skills according to American Heart Association guidelines
- How to correct faulty CPR performance
- How to disinfect and maintain CPR manikins; and
- How to fairly and accurately evaluate BLS student performance
PRE-REQUISITE - BLS SKILLS
As Trainee Instructors the participants will NOT learn CPR during this Instructor Course. It is expected that they possess excellent BLS skills. As such, participants MUST be proficient in all Adult, Child, Infant 1 & 2 rescuers CPR & Foreign Bodies Airway Obstruction and AED steps and procedures.
SUCCESSFUL BLS INSTRUCTOR CONFIRMATION
Upon successful completion of this BLS Instructor Course - written test MCQ main paper and MCQ supplementary paper on AEDs, all trainee instructors will first be awarded a Certificate of Attendance issued by NHAM. To be confirmed as a BLS Instructor, participants MUST conduct at least 2 BLS courses within 90 days from the date of the BLS Instructor course during which their performance will be monitored by our Instructor Trainers. Their performance in these 2 BLS courses will determine their confirmation as a BLS Instructor and thereafter an Instructor Certificate will be duly awarded to you.

HOW TO ENROL
Complete the registration form online and payment should be made before training to confirm your registration.
PAYMENT CUT-OFF DATE: LATEST BY 30 JUNE 2018 (as we need to send reading materials to participants at least one month before the course date)
HRDF AND CPD POINTS
This is not a HRDF approved training programme. Participants and their sponsoring hospitals/ companies are to submit their own application for HRDF claim. CPD points are being applied from Bahagian Kejururawatan for this course.
